The Five Beach Bay Tour is the fastest way to reach Maggie’s northern beaches, combining expert local interpretation with spectacular sightseeing for an unforgettable experience.

Here’s how the morning unfolds.

8:30 am Beach briefing and get geared up for a morning of guided exploration.

9:15 am Head out from Horseshoe Bay and begin your guided jet ski tour.

9:30 am Cruise past Maggie’s volcanic headlands and scenic coastline, with easy insights into the island’s geology.

9:45 am Quick stop for photos and a chat about natural highlights.

10:00 am Cruise through the protected Five Beach Bay, taking in untouched beaches and coastal ecosystems.

10:30 am Enjoy a swim at a secluded beach while learning about the island’s marine and land wildlife.

10:45 am Return to Horseshoe Bay, taking in a few final scenic moments.

This is a sample itinerary; every trip adapts to your group’s interests, pace, and the day’s conditions.

Each tour is led by an experienced, local guide who provides a full safety briefing, on-water supervision, route leadership, environmental and marine-life interpretation, historical and island-story commentary, and ensures compliance with marine-park regulations throughout the journey.

  • Be Your Own Captain
    Take control of your own jet ski for the entire tour while being guided and supported by our trained team.

    Professional Guiding & Safety
    Every tour is led by an experienced guide who provides a full safety briefing, on-water supervision, route leadership, and marine-park compliance throughout the experience.

    Coastline Cruising
    Travel along Magnetic Island’s iconic granite headlands and unique rock formations, with your guide sharing local knowledge about the coastline and surrounding National Parks.

    Marine Encounters
    Keep an eye out for fish, turtles, rays, dolphins and, during the season, humpback whales, with your guide on hand to help spot wildlife and share info along the way.

    Hidden Bays & Island Stories
    Visit secluded bays accessible only by ocean and hear light commentary about the area’s natural features, marine parks, and a few local stories from our crew.

    Equipment & EMC
    We provide everything you need: wetsuits or thermal rashies, life jackets, goggles and dry bags.
    Your Environmental Management Charge (EMC) contributes directly to the daily protection and management of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

    Tour Photos Included
    Relax and enjoy the ride, your guide captures photos throughout the tour, and you’ll receive full access at no extra cost.

  • Photo ID
    Bring one form of valid photo identification, such as a driver’s licence, 18+ card or passport. Your guide will check this during the pre-tour briefing.

    Credit Card
    A credit card matching the ID is required for registration. No deposit is withheld, charges only apply in the unlikely event of an incident.

    Clothing
    Wear something comfortable for check-in. We’ll fit you with a wetsuit or thermal rashie depending on the season and conditions.

    Sunglasses & Hats
    We provide tinted goggles for sun and splash protection. You’re welcome to bring a bucket or fishing hat with a secure strap (excludes straw hats, which can’t be worn on tour).

    Phones & Cameras
    You’re welcome to bring your phone or small camera on the ski. Your guide will show you the safest storage options during the briefing.

    Sunscreen & Towel
    Bring a towel for after your tour. If you didn’t pre-order sunscreen, feel free to bring your own, we include time to apply it once you’re suited up.

    Water Bottle
    Bring a small reusable water bottle. Each jet ski glove box fits one bottle up to around 600 mL, and your guide will point out the safest way to store it.

  • English Proficiency
    Participants must have a clear understanding of English and be able to follow instructions and communicate effectively with their guide at all times.

    Swimming Ability
    All participants must be confident, competent swimmers. This is essential for safety in the unlikely event of entering the water.

    Weight Limits

    • Single rider: 120 kg max

    • Twin share: 160 kg combined max

    Age Requirements

    • Minimum age for a passenger with an adult (18+): 6 years old
      (We recommend 8+ for the Full Island Tour due to duration and conditions.)

    • Riders aged 16–17 may operate a jet ski alone but cannot carry an underage passenger.

    • A parent or guardian must also be booked on the tour, and both must present valid photo ID and a Visa/Mastercard at check-in.

    Medical Conditions & Alcohol: Please read our Terms & Conditions before booking. You must confirm you have no pre-existing medical conditions that could affect your hire (e.g., back or eye issues), are not pregnant, and have a 0 BAC at the time of riding.

  • Our safety and operational briefing begins at 8:30 AM, covering all essential information, riding techniques and marine-park requirements. We aim to be on the water by 9:00 AM.

    Five Bays Tour

    • 90 minutes on the water

    • Expected finish: 10:30–11:00 AM

    Top End Tour

    • 2 hours on the water

    • Expected finish: 11:00–11:30 AM

    Full Island Tour

    • 3 hours on the water

    • Expected finish: 12:00–12:30 PM

  • Daily Operations

    Tours operate daily from Horseshoe Bay, with multiple departures per day during peak season, supported by our dedicated team of experienced guides who ensure quality, safety, and expert interpretation on every tour.

    No Licence or Experience Needed

    No previous jet ski experience or licence is required. Your guide will take you through everything you need to know before heading out.

    Small Group Tours

    We run small-group experiences with up to 10 participants, supported by one or two qualified tour guides, depending on conditions and group size.

    Safety First

    Before launching, you’ll receive a comprehensive safety briefing, equipment demonstration, and guidance on riding techniques and marine-park requirements.

    Where to Meet

    Find us in Horseshoe Bay, just a 1-minute walk from the beachfront bus stop. Look for the blue banner under the palm trees beside the boat ramp. Get directions.

  • Weather Planning
    Our Five Bays Tour is rarely impacted by weather. If winds come from the west or north-west, we simply head east, still delivering beautiful sheltered bays and a smooth ride.

    Minimum Numbers
    The Full Island Jet Ski Tour requires a minimum of 2 jet skis (2–4 people) to operate. The Top End Tour and Five Beach Bay Tour do not have a minimum number.

  • Fantastic experience.

    Andrew is a great guide, clear with instructions, patient with jetski first timers, and informative about the island. And one of the nicest blokes you could meet. You get plenty of time to get used to the jetski and have some fun on the water. Plus we saw a couple of humpback whales! (Not guaranteed on every trip, but wow, something I’ll never forget.)

    Did the 90 minute Five Beach Bay jet ski tour this morning. Perfect weather conditions to explore this part of the island. There was time to slowly view the rugged coastline with its secluded beaches and Josh, our guide, stopping along the way to give us a commentary. We also had plenty of time to get the adrenaline rush under full throttle. Very friendly staff to deal with. Thanks guys for an awesome time.

    I couldn’t recommend this enough, Ash and Andrew were amazing very laid back while still ensuring everyone’s safety. Andrew was an amazing guide with plenty of knowledge. I did the 5 beach bay tour and it was the perfect balance for slow riding to see the beautiful secluded beaches and plenty of fast riding to have some fun! Definitely an experience to remember and would definitely be back 100000%.
