The Skis
We operate a fleet of six Seadoo GTI 130 skis. Once you hop on board, you'll immediately notice the comfort – the hourglass seats provide lumbar support for the driver, while the passenger sits higher at the back, ensuring a better and safer forward view. The hull offers exceptional stability, perfect for beginners, yet it also allows experienced riders to skid, slide, and spin the craft.
Before you embark, we'll share our expertise in optimizing your ski experience and provide a comprehensive briefing on our hire area and equipment. This ensures you feel reassured and confident throughout your rental. Our hire area is the largest freestyle zone on the East Coast of Australia. After the briefing, you can explore our expansive 2km square area with no set directions, enjoying the freedom to roam.
Horseshoe Bay, where we're based, is well-protected from most winds and rough swells, making it an ideal spot for both beginners and freestyle enthusiasts. However, the real beauty of our extensive hire area is that you can go at your own pace, whether you prefer a leisurely sightseeing adventure or a more playful approach.
And Us
Hey there! We're Andrew and Ash, officially taking the reins in 2016, but we have been living on the island since 2014 when we moved from Brisbane. In our view, what sets the island apart is that most businesses are owner-operated. When you come to rent a ski, you're dealing directly with us, and we can guarantee no one cares more about your experience than we do.
Our team includes some fantastic locals, including Max and Josh, who help us on weekends and during school holidays. They'll be in the water, guiding you and ensuring you're having the time of your life. Our little boys, Archer and Hayes, joined the crew in 2019 and 2022. You'll often find them hanging out at the beach with us. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to live this life and spend our days doing what we love. Customer service and satisfaction are our pride, so we provide a thorough safety brief and teach you all about our Seadoo GTI 130 skis. Once you're confident, and we're confident, you're out on the water, ready to have a blast in our extensive hire area!
We thrive on sharing the excitement and high fives and can't wait to get you out there. Being part of the Maggie community is a joy, and we love sharing our favourite spots and hidden gems with our hires. We also run 'This Is Magnetic Island,' where we showcase more of Magnetic Island to the world and support local businesses.
When we're not busy with Jetskis and This Is Magnetic Island, you'll catch us working on our dream home or exploring the island (Archer is obsessed with climbing mountains, known as Hawkings Point and The Sphinx).
